  • Your video is wonderful! Of course it was. The spirit of the person that writes is the same as the one on the video. It’s who you are, Cylon.
My challenge is to Let Go and to take time off from doing all the time. Take a day off now and then and Let Go of the feelings that bring anxiety, or fear. That’s my challenge. I’m working on it! Thank you for your transformative words.

    • Hi Paulette! What an incredibly generous thing to say…thank you so much 🙂 I feel much sympathy with you in your struggle to take time away from the things that make you anxious. I think we’re living in a time where many of us experience a constant vague low level anxiety that can be hard to get away from. For me, leaving my cares behind and going for a walk in nature can be very powerful. The trouble always is having the courage to drop the anxiety producing thing, trusting that you will not be harmed or broken in the process. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂

  • Hello Cylon,
Well done you and how nice to see you in person, so to speak!
Please accept my admiration for, not only your presentation, but the content. Thank you.
I seem to be recovering from several challenges – and hence trying to clear up the consequences. Undoubtedly, something unexpected will occur and will be dealt with.
Appreciate your demonstration – alignment of thoughts, words and deeds.
    Fantastic!

    • Thank you Zara! I wish you well in your recovery process…and may you be strengthened to make the decisions that need to be made and do what needs to be done to bring resolution. I don’t know if any of this applies to your situation…but just felt led to write it. Thanks, as always, for your support!

  • Well done Cylon,
My dear old mum had a saying which she would share with us in tough times we had;:
it was “Face the fear you fear the most and the death of fear is certain”

Great to see you in person Cylon,
    Regards
    Kerry Australia.

  • WOWOWOW! This is wonderful! One would never know you were uncomfortable doing a video — you appear so at ease and the whole thing looks great and sounds great! Congratulations!
    More please,
    Kim

  • Hi Cylon, and well done overcoming your fear of video! Like others here, I would have never suspected you were uncomfortable doing this – you’re a natural. But more importantly, thank you for connecting in this way. I’ve been reading your articles for a while now, and they have been helping me through some very difficult times, and to see and hear you – a real person – is a delight. You are every bit as calm and encouraging as your written words. If I had to name one thing which has pulled me through my troubles this year, it is definitely connection – and you have most certainly achieved that today in a particular way, with this video. Thank you for everything you’ve been doing here on spirituallivingforbusypeople. You make a difference!

    • Hi Michael, I am very touched by your words. Thank you for affirming my desire to connect. I certainly didn’t think I had it in me…lol. I’m so glad I decided to take the risk because I’ve completely interrupted the storyline that I’m no good at video! I think you’re so right about connection as key to helping us through our difficult times. We were made for connection. Thank you for being part of this community and I’m honored to know that this blog help you through a difficult year. May you continue to be blessed and strengthened now and always 🙂

  • Hi Cylon…. I MISS YOU!!! 🙂 This video is great… I have to tell you… WOW What I’m going to say makes me sound so old! And, you so young… And even though that be the case, I still feel your contemporary. I think you have that effect on people. You are easy to be with, you’ve got a wonderful spirit. I think you are an old soul, and that’s a high compliment. Oh! I lost track of where I was going!! What I see in this video is such a hugely transformed man, from the young whipper-snapper of yesteryear! You have this fear, yet you mastered your fear. You came across very composed, and authoritative – meaning assured – and smooth! You were in control! Your fear was not in control. Congratulations!! The video is so nostalgic for me, and though I certainly don’t want to go back there, I most definitely miss seeing you every week. What came to my mind, when you issued the challenge, is that I DID take that challenge a number of years ago. I remember telling you one year, that I wanted to overcome my fear of cantoring. And, thanks to you, your generous and forgiving heart, I DID IT! My voice shook, A LOT, but your encouragement, support, and love got me through it. From the moment I met you, I knew you were special (in a good way!). I knew you were a gift. And, you continue to share that gift with others. I thank you for that, and I thank God for you!

    • I miss you too Eva!!! Wow, what an amazing comment…don’t even know where to start..lol 🙂 Thank you for that huge affirmation of my efforts to authentically share of myself in service to others. I’d forgotten about how insecure you were about singing in the beginning. Talk about transformation! I’m proud of the small role I played in that 🙂 After such a great response to the video I decided to shoot a few more. I plan to share those in the coming weeks! It’s funny you mention the “old soul” thing. I swear, I’ve been hearing that from people since I was a toddler…well, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit…but not by much. I too and thankful for our friendship and how you’ve helped me grow over the years. I thank God for you as well 🙂
